Welcome to the blog. My name is Sonia and I love teaching! I have taught reading, writing, math, science, and social studies to students in grades 3-5. My favorite grade to teach is 5th grade. Go 5th grade!
My passion is teaching reading and writing through a workshop model. I have been a writing teacher for students in K-5.
I have an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Reading Education, Children’s Literature, and Language Arts (p-5).
I hope to provide elementary teachers with timely, relevant, and useful information to help them learn more about teaching writing, provide teaching ideas, and ways to grow as writing teachers. Also, to support them as they encourage, develop, and engage young writers.
